My Station Manger returned from vacation today i had 17 grieves waiting for her this morning lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 for each hurricane Gustav and Ike for failing to approve admin leave and you guess it the rest for overtime. As we were meeting she stop and said you know the USPS is losing 3 billion this fiscal year and all this grievance money is not helping get the USPS back on track making money so i stopped and told her look am just a NALC Steward but let me ask you this can you show me where if the USPS followed the contract where they would have lost this 3 billion dollars second the ink wasn't even dry on the contract with the NALC when you started violating Article 8 overtime starting in January of this year third the M-39, M-41 and the ELM are all managment manuels no where on any of these manuels are the words NALC my only job as a Shop Steward for the NALC is to enforce the contract. I no control over how much money the USPS lost are how much Hell she is catching from District because of all the moey they are paying in grievances again i have two jobs first to deliver the mail second grieve voilations of the contract for my 300 members of our local. She ask me to leave she shut the door an noone heard from from her the rest of the day thanks A.J

Sorry no blog for along time. I have been grieving overtime every week since the beginniing of the year. Here is a short history of the problem. Managment in Lake Charles, LA had been paying about $9000.00 each to two stations down here from January till the end of Febuary then decided to fight me on grievances well we just started receiving the ruling back from March thats right March and guess what the USPS is paying dearly now .I have never lost a overtime grievance so if you want to blame me for the USPS quaterly loss next quater i will accept the blame but one thing here in Lake Charles, LA home of Branch 914 it's going to be a great Christmas for Carriers here lol!!!!!!!!!!!!. One last thing before bedtime we still have about 50 grievances for overtime waiting to be decided thanks A.J
