    About Me: My current life priorities. 1. Life - friends, family, personal development. 2. Music - perform, record, write, noodle. 3. work. I'm sure these would change to some extent if I were in a relationship and/or had children.
    Music: Things I always love: Mussorgsky's "Pictures @ and Exhibition" (the piano version) Deerhoof. (they make me so happy) Prince. (too bad his records pretty much suck. and really, quit the Jehovah's witness crap already) Electronic music of nearly any kind. Arvo Part's "Fratres" (it's my musical 'mantra') Old jazz standards and show tunes. usually the crooning types. Stephen Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet St." (simply the greatest musical ever. i mean with a line like "and fortunately it's also clear that everybody goes down well with beer" how could it not be?) When I deliver mail you know I'm coming when you hear the house beat a block away.
    Movies: Spinal Tap. waiting for guffman 28 days later. singing in the rain west side story help star wars 4, 5 & 6 batman 1 & 2. and batman begins 2001 a space odyssey
    TV: i don't have television. but when i did I love me some cartoons and the daily show.
    Books: i'm not the biggest reader ever but i'm working on it. "The Watchmen" most of John Irving. Douglas Adams love those Harry Potter books Kurt Vonnegut Jr is great. Anthony Burgess is great but too smart for me. At least I try. "Silence" by John Cage "Richard Roger's Reader" by Geoffery Block (I was the typist for this book) "Talking Music" "Electronic Sounds" "the All Music guide to Electronica" oh how I hate the term 'electronica' "What to Listen For in Music" by Aaron Copland.
    Likes: Personal time. extroverted time. simplicity most food. not a big fan of nuts, shell fish, or things that require too much work while eating. sleep, which i never seem to get enough of. driving. even with my social/ecological leanings. performing. i lose my mind when i don't perform often enough. I love having dinner or coffee with friends, especially one on one situations.
    Dislikes: crab. unless it's shelled for me. want to see me turn into a whiny 13 year old? order me a whole crab. i just want to eat, not do more work than the cooks did. George Bush and his cronies. the NRLCA. I was sure these people were there to help us, not ruin our jobs by not standing up for us. Columbus Day. a) because it's a ridiculous 'holiday' to begin with. b) because of the amount of extra work it generates for us. I REALLY don't like the Christmas season. I wasn't a fan of it before my former marriage 8 years ago. Then all the familial stress over the holidays really made me dislike the holiday. Now, being a mail carrier, I just abhor the whole friggin holiday season. a) i'm not religious. b) hate the commercialism. c) so absolutely wasteful in so many ways. d) the stress mounted upon stress.
    Hobbies: music. playing with my wood stoves.
    Vices: I really don't have any left. Oh I know. I swear WAY too much.
    Virtues: honest. i try very hard to be a genuine and real individual, expelling any pretension or posturing. i love all people, even the ones that annoy the crap out of me. i'm intelligent and very creative. very talented with music. i'm not going bald like my dad did. ha ha.
    Heroes: this is always a difficult section. so let's see what I come up with today. john cage. sergie prokofiev. arvo part jimmie carter ah hell, i'm bad at this game. i can't remember anyone.
