About Me: Hobbies include History, Science Fiction, Gardening, Home improvements, and keeping up on most sports. Enjoy playing golf and bowling. As a young man I played baseball and fast-pitch softball. Was on the Pac-Flt "all Navy team" in 1970 and upon my return home played on various teams and in 1983 was inducted into the midwest area "Hall of Fame." My wife and I currently live in the outskirts of a middle-size city and spend most of our time working and taking care of our two "spoiled" dogs.
Music: Being in the service, I learned to enjoy many genres of music. Mostly, I enjoy the Oldies music from the 50's and 60's. I also like the country music that is currently played.
Movies: I really love any type of science fiction movie or thriller. I would rate the best movies as anything with a semi-believable plot and good acting.
TV: Not much of a television person, but do watch the news and as much of the history channel as I am able. Keep track of most of the sports that is on and enjoy watching Nascar racing.
Books: Don't read as much as I used to in the service, but read quite a few magazines and newspapers. Books at this time in my life take too much downtime and that is something that I don't have now.
Likes: Hanging out with a bunch of my older buddies on bowling night and at the golf course. Nothing better that drinking a couple of beers and talking bout "good old days"
Dislikes: Pushy arrogant people. Anyone with bad manners and mis-behaving children.
Hobbies: Golf, bowling, working around my house and just "goofing off" in my garage.
Vices: Sometimes I drink too much and say what I think even though it hurts other people and their feelings. Always have been too honest and sometimes I talk when I should shut-up. Pretty aggressive attitude and temper, not quite as bad now that I am getting older. Never been really shy.
Virtues: I deeply believe in friends and relationships. I love my friends and family in a "mafia" sort of way and would do anything at any time for them. I am extremely honest and believe that everyone is the same and that there are no religious or color barriers.
Heroes: John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, my grandfather, and anyone who helps people that are willing to help themselves.
