Well I am at my second month at trying it again as a 204B ....And it is alright but this time around I find myself what I always believe to be true. What I mean by that is how bad the supervisors do not get along with one another. It isn't the workers who are the problem it is the communication break down between management and themselves. I have been asked will I apply for a permanent position? I don't know. I also noticed that there are a majority of carriers on this site but understand some of your situations. I am a clerk at the Stamp Fulfillment Services and have noticed more and more each day that CPU's are growing and I wonder how much does it affect you all at the stations?

Good luck to you Marie! In my case, management is what turned me off to becoming a 204B because they would be my co-workers. Before joing the P.O. I was an executive chef and a restaurant manger - management was my first inclination when I joined the Postal Service. There are far too many people in management that began their careers as the laziest of slugs in the craft. I'm not trying to discourage you, Marie, because we NEED honest and dedicated good management. I'm sure you will do well - just watch out for the backstabbing - the knife blades are longer as you climb the ranks. Mark |
