Opt in/ Yeah, right.

So Tuesday I get to work and my ever-so-nasty postmaster brings over an opt-in form. These have been available since when, mid-December! She says, in her own version of trying to sound light and carefree, "It's that time again. Sign this form." I ask, "Are you opting us in?" She says, "I haven't decided yet." I ask, "Is district opting us in? She says, "I don't know. Sign the form." I say, "That is not how this works." She says, "I am giving you a direct order to sign the form." Kind of takes the definition of option and throws it to the wind, eh. I say, "Huh?" She says, "I am giving you a direct order to sign the form, now sign it." So I sign it and add the words, "signed under direct order" to the signature line. Then, as she is leaving, I call my state stew who tells me she can't do that and he will take care of it. He then calls district and tells them what she did. They call her and tell her I don't have to sign the form AND she is to give me back the form I signed, which did not happen. She gave me a new form with her signature opting me in. Now she is so pissed at me she can hardly stand it. This is NOT going to be a good count!
