EARLY OUTS APPROVED FOR RURAL CARRIERS

In early July the NRLCA was notified that the Postal Service had filed an application with OPM requesting permission to offer early outs to employees in the rural letter carrier, city letter carrier, motor vehicle and maintenance crafts.
Today we received notification from the Postal Service that they have received approval from OPM to offer Voluntary Early Retirement (VER) to rural letter carriers. No details have been released at this time, but as soon as details become available we will advise the membership.
