Hello All! well i'm back and with some news. unfortunally its not good but i was a good citizen and someone was saved on my behalf. unfortunally on friday october 17th i had an encounter with a customer. i was sitting by my cluster box takeing my afternoon 10 minunet break when i had someone approach my truck. when i opened my door this gentleman asked me to call 911 for he had been shot! needless to say i was shocked for i have not had any reason to believe that this rotue was in a bad neighborhood. it just goes to show that anything can happen anywhere. well as soon as he told me this, i called 911 and stayed with him till the poliece arrived. unfortunally for me though, it was a cold rainey day and shortly after they got there and the ems took the guy off to the hospital, the cops told me that i was in a crime scene and i had to leave immeately. i couldnt get my mail, truck, purse etc. by the way, i only had 2 cluster boxes left to deliver. about 10 mins left. it was about 4:30 in the afternoon when this happened so after i called 911 and the cops arrived, i then called my supervisor to tell him what was going on. so here i am, sitting in an appartment buildings breezeway freezing my ass off and couldnt go anywhere. i mean dont get me wrong, i understand that no one can be inside a taped in crimescene but i couldnt even get my jackett. oh well. finally after about an hour and questioning, the cops finally let me back to my truck and finish delivering the mail. well thats when my supervisiors finally came out to check on me. mind you, my rotue is about 1.5 miles away from the office. i mean what took them so long? well all i can say is that at least they did come to check on me. also, when i got done, i got back to the office and saw my supervisor and said .. " see, i made it back before 6" yea go me. i saved someones life and still got back before our 6 o'clock window. lol. well here is a link to the shooting on the rotue underneith but i think that the news crew took the photos after i had left so my truck is not there in the middle of the crimescene. at least i can say that i was safe and nothing happened to me. but it didnt bother me though. after 2 years working in the hood and ghetto, it toughned me up. so i was cool with it. well i hope that everyone else had a better work day then i did. i just thought that you all would enjoy a good story where i was a good citizen!!! lol.

Well, i'm back. nothing worth writing about has happened  lately ... my life tends to be drama free and also when things are routiene, it gets to be a little boreing. but other than that, i did go out today and jason and i got a new toy. we got a 04' Chevy trailblazer. i'm happy now. now i feel better about getting to work in bad weather. i just know that my mustang wouldnt handle it. i know that here in NC, we dont get the bad weather in winter but just incase of that freak snow, i need something to be able to get to work in. also we needed a second veichele. one for the both of us wasnt enough or pratical. try going on vacation with 2 dogs and luggage for a week in a mustang. lol. well, also, when jason goes on call for a week at work, now he has a reliable car to get him there. so all is good here. its always fun when you get a new car! i'll have some pics up on here when i get them.

other than the new toy, i just got back home from a shrot trip to VA Beach. i left on monday after work and got back friday. that was a good trip too. anywhere but work is a good plave to be sometimes.lol. my brother just got back from a 6 month deployment to south and central america from the navy and i met up with him and my parents there. its good to have family all together again. the trip was nice but not long enough. lol they never are lol and this time, i didnt take a trip and come back to work on a holiday weekend! yea good for me!  i'll have a few pics from that up on here too!

i dont know if any of you out there have had this problem but yesterday, my dvr went up. i was going to watch my favorite tv show prision break because my husband is at work for the week and i have the house to myself so i figured i would sit down for a few hours and watch my tv shows that i recorded. well when i got home from work, i turned the tv on a recieved an error message. well to make a short story even shorter, what happened was the hard drive in the dvr box crashed. turns out i need to get a new reciever for my tv and everything i had recorded, was lost. 3 weeks of shows lost. gone forever. needless to say, i was pissed. then i called a friend whom i must say, saved my life. lol. told me i could watch them on the computer. YEA i was so happy. now i dont have to miss an eppsiode. espically with this show, if you miss one, then your completely lost on the next one. well now i love my computer even more. i watched them today and i must say, hd on my computer is sooooo much better. i just might watch my shows on the computer from now on. lol. well other than that, nothing new going on. i guess thats a good thing no drama in my life.... i am completely drama free. i love it. thats what i got tv for, thats where my drama is. well when i have more news to tell, i'll blog again

WELL, ITS MY FIRST DAY BACK TO THE PO AND STUPID ME.... I DID IT AGAIN. I TOOK A VACATION THE WEEK BEFORE A HOLIDAY WEEKEND. ITS THE DAY AFTER LABOR DAY AND I COME BACK TO WORK. I SAID BEFORE THAT I WOULDNT DO THAT BUT WHOOPS... I DID IT AGAIN. LOL. ANYWAYS, I DID KINDA LUCK OUT AND I HAD MY SHORT ROTUE TODAY. WE DIDNT HAVE ALL MIAL CALLED UP UNTIL 1:45PM.  FORUTNALLY US CITY CARRIERS WERE ALLOWED TO LEAVE AT 11 THIS MORNING TO START DELIVERING OUR ROTUES SO I WAS STILL ABLE TO GET MY ROTUE DONE IN 8. I CAME BACK AT 1PM AND HAD 1/2 MY ROTUE DELIVERED AND STILL HAD TO WAIT 45MINS FOR THE CLERKS TO GET THE MAIL UP. I KNOW THAT IT WASNT THEIR FAULT BY ANYMEANS ... FOR INSTANCE, ... 1. WE ONLY HAD 3 CLERKS FOR ABOUT 50 TO 60 ROTUES ... 2. THEY BROUGHT US CARRIERS IN EARLY AND NOT THE CLERKS..  ..  3. MAIL CAME IN LATE ... AND 4. THE OBVIOUS ... HOLIDAY MAIL.  OH WELL, I GOT IT DONE. AT LEAST I'M OFF TOMARROW THEN I GET TO COME BACK TO WORK JUST IN TIME FOR HURRICAND HANNA TO HIT. LUCKY ME. IF IT DOES COME UP TO RALEIGH, THIS WILL BE MY FIRST HURRICANE TO DELIVER MAIL IN ... CARRIE, YOULL HAVE TO LET ME KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE IF YOU HAVE. LOL.

WELL OTHER THAN THAT, MY VACATION WAS GOOD.  I DIDNT DO MUCH BUT THAT WAS OK. AT LEAST I GOT TO GO OUT ON THE BEACH AND GO FISHING AND SOME SHOPPING. UNFORTUNALLY FOR MY I HAD POOR PLANING WITH OUR MONEY SITUATION AND WE DIDNT HAVE MUCH TO BE ABLE TO DO ALL THE FUN THINGS AS I USUALLY GET TO DO BUT HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR I WILL BETTER PLAN OUT MY FINANCES. WHAT KILLED ME THOUGH IS ABOUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE WE LEFT, OUT AC WENT UP AND WE HAD TO BUY A WHOLE NEW UNIT. I THINK THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR BEACH MONEY. HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR, SOMETHING LIKE THAT WONT HAPPEN 2 WEEKS BEFORE WE GO. LOL. WELL HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH EVERYONE ELSE AND TALK TO YOU SOON.

today is the last day i have internet access for a week. tomarrow after work i am leaving for the beach. woo hoo! sun surf and sand! i'll be back in a week and ill let you know how it was. i'll take pics too so i can get some more updated pics on here too. well, not much going on at the po here lately so i guess thats a good thing. the only thing really is that we had a stand-up today telling us that we are not allowed to keep rubberbands in our trucks or anything at all really. sutpid i know but i guess managment has nothing else better to do then to bit*h at us carriers about stupid stuf like that. well after tomarrow, all is forgoten till i get back in a week. i hope that i dont miss out on too much here. we dont have internet access at the house that i'm staying at so i guess i will find other ways to occupie my time. well tomarrow is my b-day. woo hoo, the big ole 26. yea i know, i'm still just a youngan. but what a better way to spend my b-day than at work. well hopefully my supivisor will let me pick the rotue that i want to do. i have 2 of my 5 rotues that dont have the regular carrier on it tomarrow and i got bumped off the rotue that i am supposed to do beacuse managment had the regular carrier come in on his day off. which is fine with me. i like all of my rotues. after comming from an office where the rotues were in a really bad neighbor hood, all of these rotues here at my new office  are wonderful to me. lol. well anyways, gtg. talk to you all in a week. take care!
