stamp stock?

Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 09:23 AM MST [General]

so i go to work yesterday and am talking to a regular in the case next to me and she says so do you have an extra $10-$150 laying around? what ?

well aparently our PM thinks we all need to carry that much stamp stock around each day. that includes the RCA's too. i looked at her and said do you realize that is half of a check for some of the RCA's a payperiod? well she was mad because one of the RCA's brought back 8 orange envelopes for stamps.  so now she thinks we should all carry out large amounts of stock each day. in our office we maybe use 3-4 books a week. we are rural but really its not ike we seel that many all the time . the only reason that the other RCA's had 8 orange envelopes is probably due to the fact i dont  know -- the price change of postage went up!!!! dont you think that coud have made a huge differenceon the amount of postage is sold in the next two weeks?

it seems like our office rules change from day to day. we come in and have one set of rules and by the end of the day they change. it has even gotten to the point that the supervisorhas starteed to see it too.

    FOOD DRIVE

Sunday, May 11, 2008, 09:41 AM MST [General]

so yesterday was the food drive, i was on a different route than my normal one. it was ok -- i got about half of what i usually gt on my route so i dont know what they usually pick up on this route. its sd though , as bad off as it isi really thought it would be a btter turnout . i picked up 2 bags of food in the fist 2 hours of the route. hopefully this will fill the pantr of thlocal food banks.

i dont mind doing the food drive, its a good thing and it helps others , but i do wish the regulars would at least stop making the snide remarks and off handed jokes about the rcas gettng the short end of the stick on the deal. and when they take the picture for the paper why is it always the regulars who do nohing but take out the little cards?thats how it always goes in our ofice.

hope all have a wonderful mthers day and enjoy being home with your fmily and telling them you love them and appreciate all the little quirks that they have.

    have a blessed day.

we are not getting anywhere with the union

Friday, March 7, 2008, 08:28 AM MST [General]

ok so we all know we are not getting through to the unoin  on this farce of a mailcount. so why not let the nationl  media take controle and have them to look into this. if we cant get the union to look into the problems of the postal service why is it we have only one choice?

contact the national newspapers and television shows let them do an investigative report on how the postal service is killing the rural craft .

let your senators and congressmen know how you feel about getting your pay cut by thousands of dollars each year. and ask why it is that we are not getting any help when we are telling them that the volume is wierdly low and when we come in tomorrow we will have so much mail at our cases it wont all fit.

my opinion is al of us not only the regulars but also the rca's and the trc's need to make as much noise over this farce of a mail count as possible so that the nrlca is forced to stand up and take some action.

contact someone and let them know your feelings on this and ask them to look into it for you . the old addage is always 2 heads are better than  1. so why not thousands of voices are better than 1. stand up for our routes and our pay

being an RCA during count stinks

Tuesday, February 26, 2008, 12:10 PM MST [General]

ok so we all know mail count stinks!!! but being an RCA is even worse than being a regular is  in my openion.

so we have 7 routes and i sub on 6 of them 4 of them regularly.

so here is my week this wek.

monday --route 1  ( cant stand this route the case is so crazy it takes forever to case it)

    tues day off

wed -- route 4 ( gets the most mail in the office )

thurs - route 1 agian it sucks as usual

     friday -- route 4 agian

saturday -- route 7 ( my regular route  and  yes it gets the second most mail in the office. )

so mot only do we have count but i get to count each piece also and make sure the numbers are correct so the regular feels comfortable not being there . so i add about and hour to an hour and a half to each day.

so unlike the rugular  that gets to do one route and remember the changes  for 1 route and the markups for  one route i get to do it for multiple routes.

i am so ready for the mail count to be over and the routes to still be large so that the routes HAVE to be cuts to make a new one. PLEASE!!! keep a good thought for me . maybe i wont get screwed over this time  and then all i have to do is keep up with one route like all the regulars . oh how wonderful that would be>>>>
