    Liberty

America celebrates Independence Day each year on July 4, commemorating the day in 1776 when the colonists declared their freedom from British rule. Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, which was approved and signed by members of the Continental Congress of the United States of America.

    O beautiful for spacious skies,

    For amber waves of grain,

    For purple mountain majesties

    Above the fruited plain!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood

    From sea to shining sea!

I pledge Allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands,
    one nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.

May God bless all those persons serving in our military forces who risk their lives in order to preserve and defend the God-given rights of all "that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness"

When gazing at the firworks this evening sing the verse proudly!!!!!!

The rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

I have a patriot's heart  and got a little carried away with the copy & paste feature.  Have a great Independence day everyone!!!!!

I didn't go out to see the fireworks this year, but I DID watch the Macy's show on NBC. They had "happy face" fireworks and "cubes" and all kinds of wild shapes! It was pretty neato...Nice photos :)

I love that blog Melissa! I wished I saw it sooner.
All the pictures are appropriate with those verses.
I also didn't know you could put more than one pic in a blog - you will have teach me how to do that one.
