I think my blog is haunted. I posted my croc blog the other day and it disappeard. Carrie wanted to read the comments and couldn't find the blog. When it did show up. I couldn't click on the comments to read them. The Croc blog is back, but when it reappeared on the main page it had a date of Dec. 31, 1969. Freaky. Recently, I've tried to click on comments to read them and it tells me I don't have access to this site. LOL
I just found out that my good friend Postal Texan left me a comment on one of my blogs and the comment disappeard or deleted itself:( Sorry PT. I would be honored to have a comment from you anyday!!!!! So, I just wanted everyone to know if you leave a comment on my blog it may not post. If it doesn't please try again.
George started the interactive blog idea.... so I'm going to copy from him
and ask what is your favorite shoe to wear around during the summer?
Flip-flops, sandals, Birkenstocks, athletic shoes...........there are
many choices. Normally I would have listed flip-flops;however,I find
myself digging in my closet for last years crocs. That's right! I wear the ugly shoe. I own a navy blue pair and I'm proud of it.
Believe me, I resisted buying these things for a long time. I didn't
care how comfortable others said they were. I thought they look like
plastic Dutch clogs. Very uncool, but I noticed a phenomenon. Usually
the "fashion minded people" purchase the latest styles for
vanity sake, but it wasn't the "fashion minded" purchasing these
shoes. I noticed the gardening freaks wearing the bright green crocs, the boater's wearing the navy crocs , and the team moms wearing the pink crocs......... so I thought......there must be something to the shoe. These people aren't wearing these shoes to make a fashion statement, so they must be wearing them because of
the comfort factor. Justification for purchase! I know my deductive
reasoning skills aren't very scientific, but HEY, it made sense to me.
I own two navy blue pairs and all I can say is "I LOVE my Crocs".
They are convenient, comfy, and ideal for those of us that like to
hang around the water. They may look nerdy, but I challenge you to
slip on a pair and find out for yourself what true comfort really is.
Crocs really aren't a crock.
I
was going to post last night, but I was too full of popcorn, snowcaps,
and a few other goodies I mooched from others around me:) I went to see
Prince Caspian with my son's 5th grade class. C.S. Lewis fans will not
be disappointed. The movie takes us back to Narnia with Lucy, Edmond,
Peter, & Susan. They are helping Prince Caspian reclaim his
kingdom and restore peace in Narnia. It was magical and kept my
attention for the whole 2hrs20min:) C.S. Lewis left us with many
hidden messages in his books. The movie does a great job of weaving
his messages into the screen play. It is a kids movie, but it's usually
the kid's movies that do the best job of telling the stories of
heroism. Prince Caspian is a movie about faith, courage,
and sacrifice. It has it all..... comedy, action, adventure, war, a little
romance for the ladies and the violence is often left to the
imagination which is good for the little ones. Spauldo gives it a
***** 5 star:) Switchfoot is playing on my blog. This is a song from
the soundtrack. Enjoy the beginning of a great movie season. Next on
my agenda.....Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
At least mine does. Since I am a Rural carrier, I deliver mail to a
lot of farmers. Hard working farmers. One of the great experiences of
a Rural route is the opportunity to see the combines harvesting the
fields in the fall. It gives you that deep down feeling of American
pride. However, that is not the feeling on my route today. The farmers
were out "fertilizing the fields". Many........many....... fields.
They call it fertilizing, but in reality they are spreading manure.
For 4 hours I had to smell the methane laden "fertilizer." I'm sick and
my head hurts! Today...I actually may have CRAP FOR BRAINS. Is there
such a thing as a workmans comp. claim for manure poisoning? LOL I
tried using the Oprah endorsed Neti pot. It's not working. So the only
thing I can do is what the SS would probably do. OD on Tylenol PM and hope for a better day tomorrow.
Where are Mulder and Scully when I need
them? An X-file needs solved before the entire Rural
Craft at my post office gets fired. We've had 3 Express Mail failures in 3 weeks. The X-file
question "What is causing the express mail failures?" The Carriers missing the scans are 15-25 year regular carriers who
never miss a basic delivery confirmation scan. So how can they miss
the most important scan of all and one that requires so much input?
They have been scanning Express Mails for years and suddenly they don't
know how to scan them anymore? If veteran carriers, who never had an
issue before, suddenly begin missing scans, I might question the
scanner docking station. Is it downloading the information? One
carrier was told she missed 5 DC scans and an Express mail scan. She
was issued a LOW today. She says there is "NO WAY" she missed them.
So what is a carrier to do? If management tells us the scan is missed,
what recourse does a carrier have? Is someone prematurely checking the
Express mail scan log on the computer and getting the wrong information
because the system does not update until later? If the system is saying
it was not scanned(because it does not update until later) and then
someone "freaks" and thinks it will be a failure, manually inputs
before going home, does this void the carriers successful route scan
and then cause a failure? I guess I'm worried the X-file will
continue through the craft. At the rate we are going, it's a new carrier every other day so
the odds are against me. Am I next? I check my scanner before docking and make
sure the Express mail scan logged. The carrier that got the LOW today says she checked
her scanner before docking and the express mail was in her scanner. So
did it get lost when downloaded? Are any other offices
having these failures? Do the new scanners malfunction? If they do, how does a carrier go about proving they fail? A lot of us
are having trouble believing human error is the cause of ALL the
recent failures in our office. Especially, since it's the long time carriers missing the scans:(
