The "service engine soon' light came on yesterday......don't need to get up early and go sit at the dealership  while they try to figure out what is wrong.......i know what is wrong......I HAVE A CRAPPY ASS CAR.. Oh how I covet the Honda Element and want one, but I still have six more payments on this thing.....hopefully in the fall of 2008 I can buy an element and be happy driving once more...

 On the work front, Princess, who went home sick the other day, came into work toaday and said she would be out until November 27th for 'medical reasons'.......since when did laziness become a medical condition.....I'm in......LOL   EVERYONE IS GETTING V-TIME EVERYDAY.....WOOHOO......CHRISTMAS IS PAID FOR.......LOL

Well, we are one week away from Turkey Day.  Family is headed to the beach on Wednesday to celebrate....hey it is still warm here in the south...,.we have no rain, but it is warm.

Our office 'princess' returned to work after 5 days of being off the other day, only to have a hissy fit because no one took out the occupants she left.....oh well....welcome to the new and improved post office. So she went home 'sick'.  Like that is going to make us help her. 

I will go back Monday to six sets of occupants and take out three, but hey.....that's just how I roll.  Can do this job with one eye closed, an arm in a sling and hopping on my bad knee..... 

Okay I am off to buy turkey......gobble gobble you all.........

I have always enjoyed this week off at the Post Office because we get slammed with the rush of mailers trying to get out those last few catalogs before the post office charges them with higher fees.  Of course I don't think this will last much longer with this 'so called' reduction in mail...I don't know about you but I just don't see the volume lowering.  I am off until the day before Thanksgiving.......so have fun.

 Also, on the drought front here in Georgia......still no sign of rain.  But I had my rain barrel show up so perhaps hooking that up to the downspout will encourage some rain.....

I salute all of those of you who have served our nation.  And I am so 'very' thankful for a day off from work. 

I am actually off this whole week trying to get things done before the holidays hit.  However, living in the drought of the south, it limits what you truly can do.  I don't really want to rake the leaves up because they are keeping what moisture is in the ground in the ground......or that is what I have convinced myself of so that I do not rake.  But I have done a large stack of paperwork and am going to finish up some Christmas shopping. 

So how are you spending your day off?

After 22 years of carrying mail, I am looking forward to the last few years.  Hopefully the post office will be arround for a few more.

 We have huge changes in store for us.......FSS is on its way and mail volume is decreasing.  So what do we do?

 Well, I for one am going back to school and getting training in another field.  Far to young to stop working and need more money in order to retire........
